Block

Hi! Your user account have have been blocked since your editions are considered as vandalism. Namely your replaces of extentions of image files. Could you please explain why have you been doing that?--Krystofer 12:09, 27 грудня 2011 (UTC)

Sure - the old extentions were to a raster image (pixelated, not really scalable) and the new ones are a vector graphics image. Vector graphics are quite useful, they're drawn as shapes and not pixels contrary to raster images. For example, in this edit, File:San Pedro Color.svg with File:San_Pedro_Color.svg where you would get an image redrawn in shapes. You can see that the one on the right is much more clearer, hence my usage in the article rather than the one on the left. Thanks Addihockey10 17:07, 27 грудня 2011 (UTC)

I know that, but the problem is that many of those images with *svg extensions were not loaded on Commons or Ukrainian wiki, so they have dissaperead from the articles. For example, see first image from the table is missing, second and fourth are missing, fifth, seventh, nineth are missing after you editions and so on. That's why you have been blocked. Do you run some script to make those editions? I shall unblock you but please before doing massive replacements make some test runs to be sure that your bot does not contain any bugs. Oh I see, sorry about that. The script was programmed to change it because it contained -S7.png , and it was changing it to -S7.svg but that also changed T-S7.png to T-S7.svg but T-S7.svg didn't exist hence the redlink.
