Поширення ред.
Населяє чагарникові зарості у степах тропічної Африки (Камерун, Центрально-Африканська Республіка, Південний Судан, Ефіопія, Демократична Республіка Конго).

Розмір тіла голотипу сягав 65,2 см завдовжки, хвоста — 21,2 см.
