There is still no option to change skin for unregistered users, and while Monobook/Vector changes little for readers, this significantly affects readers. *:::: Without knowing the details it does not make sense to me. Having an alternative style sheet on the caching servers (I guess there) would require significantly more server space? It sounds like megabytes at most to me, probably less, in case of dark mode, and something like a few lines of styles for alternative width option.
