Oxyrhopus (несправжня коралова змія) — рід змій родини полозових (Colubridae). Представники цього роду мешкають в Південній Америці, а ареал виду Oxyrhopus petolarius охоплює також Мексику, Центральну Америку та Тринідад і Тобаго[2].

Етимологія
ред.Наукова назва роду Siphlophis походить від сполучення слів дав.-гр. κονια — пил і φανης — видимий[4].
