The territory of the township of 'Vilshany' flows through 2 rivers: Kryvorotova Криворотова (the local name & nbsp; - Netsvita, the older & nbsp; - Volhynka) and Yar Sizonov Яр Сизонів. The settlement was founded approximately in 1655 by the settlers from Vilshan (village) однойменного села in Cherkasy region (Gorodyshchensky district), who rescued Slobidska Ukraine | Slobozhanschina Слобожанщині from social and national oppression.
