Background

1. The coat of arms was originally approved on 1982-03-05 for the 160th Aviation Battalion.
2. It was cancelled on 1987-04-08.
3. The coat of arms was redesignated for the 160th Aviation Regiment on 1988-01-16.
4. On 1992-09-22, the insignia was amended to correct the charges described on the shield.
