The name in Spanish is SantiaGo del Estero, pronounced "ge" and not "he". Ukrainian community and descendats of Ukrainian immigrants in Argentina pronounce it with "ge", and not "he", besides "he" is more used than "ge" in Ukranian. Besides that, sound "ge" does exists in Ukrainian and it does exists a specific letter for that sound. Because all that name must be written with "ґ" and not "г"; Сантьяґо-дель-Естеро and not Сантьяго-дель-Естеро!!--190.55.77.242 03:42, 21 червня 2009 (UTC)Відповісти

There are Ukrainian orthography rules - Правопис. They say there is a tradition to write «Г» in place of another language «G» letter, perhaps in relation to pronouncing "he" in such words. Besides you can check «Сантьяго-дель-Естеро» usage on the Internet — it has exactly this spelling. --Tigga 04:44, 21 червня 2009 (UTC)Відповісти

I understood. However, then, I don´t understand why if it exists letter "ґ" in Ukrainian, it is not used. I have read that in Ukrainian that sound is not very common, but preciselly it is used more in borrowed words from other languages. In this case, preciselly, "ґ" is the letter that should be used and not "г".--190.55.77.242 19:18, 21 червня 2009 (UTC)Відповісти
