Formation and Early Years (2012-2015)

Russ Barrels Elektrik Band was founded in 2012 by two brothers, Vitaliy and Ruslan. The project’s name was chosen by Ruslan and carried deep symbolic meaning: "Russ" represented a connection to ancestral roots (Rusin or Rusich), "Barrels" symbolized the composer, and "Elektrik Band" indicated the electronic music created by the band.

Starting in 2012, Vitaliy and Ruslan began actively communicating and creating together. Ruslan mastered the FL Studio software, which allowed him to record their first works. He had perfect pitch and performed various instrumental parts, meticulously working on every note and instrument sound. During this time, Vitaliy returned to playing the guitar and also began creating his own songs.

**Creative Path (2015-2023)**

After Ruslan and Vitaliy began actively working together, their creative process flourished. Ruslan, with his perfect pitch and deep understanding of music, quickly mastered FL Studio, which became his primary tool for creating music. His unique ability to hear every note and work with it reached new heights, as he could perceive music on a level unattainable for most people.

Ruslan created various projects across different genres, experimenting with diverse styles, reflecting his wide musical erudition. Each of his works was meticulously crafted: he could spend considerable time perfecting a single note or sound to achieve ideal resonance. His music spanned various styles, from classical electronic to jazz, rock, country, fusion, and folk music.

During this time, Vitaliy, who had also pursued music in his youth but had set it aside for a period, decided to return to playing the guitar. He began writing songs and poetic works, many of which were inspired by his joint sessions and musical explorations with Ruslan. Their collaboration was filled with inspiration and creative energy.

By 2020, Ruslan had completed more than 100 unique compositions, characterized by their diverse styles and complex arrangements. Simultaneously, Vitaliy wrote more than 100 songs and poetic works that reflected his inner world and musical vision.

In 2017, Vitaliy created a YouTube channel where he began posting the first videos featuring Ruslan’s music. These videos caught the attention of listeners, but after a period when Ruslan's music stopped "coming," they decided to temporarily pause their publications. This decision proved to be correct, as inspiration eventually returned to Ruslan, and he resumed working on his compositions.

**Influence and Legacy**

Ruslan's music has had a profound impact, and in terms of quality and sound, it can be compared to the works of the greatest composers of the last 50 years. Ruslan’s legacy includes over 150 compositions, many of which remain unfinished but hold immense potential. Vitaliy plans to preserve and share these works, as well as realize his own musical ideas and those created in collaboration with Ruslan.

**Recent Years and the End of the Journey**

Unfortunately, in the last six months of his life, Ruslan was unable to continue writing music due to a severe illness. Sadly, Ruslan passed away on June 30, 2023. However, a great creative legacy remains, which Vitaliy intends to preserve and distribute, honoring his brother's memory.
