Nazar Savko (May 24, 1979, Lviv, Ukraine) Ukrainian Artist, Singer/Composer, Performer. He wrote and arranged the music of songs recorded by many performers. He is Taras Chubay’s brother.

Nazar Savko was born on May 24, 1979 in Lviv, Ukraine. He is a graduate of the Mykola Lysenko National Music Academy in Lviv. He was a finalist of the popular show “Voice of the Country”. Mr. Savko manages the music studio “Dzherelo”, the musical artistic center for children and youth of Ukraine. He won the second prize in the First All Ukrainian Nazar Yaremchuk Festival, as well as “Young Galicia Festival, 1995”, “Veselad – 1994, 1995”, “Chervona Ruta Festival-2001”, and “Folklorama” in Canada. He was also the laureate of the 2nd prize of the international festival “Sea of Friends of Yalta – 2003” and received a Diploma the International Festival of Volodymyr Ivasiuk, and a semifinalist of the 2005 Eurovision tour. He started his musical career by creating a boy-band “Fourth Try” in Lviv, Ukraine. Nazar Savko writes his own songs, and writes the musical arrangements for a variety of performers and singers. This musical collaboration was first seen in the times of “Chervona Ruta – Red Rue”, the Ukrainian musical films “Remembering First Love”, in which Nazar Savko had an acting role, and was the musical composer and director. In 2000, he began the Musical Studio “Dzherelo” which is still working with Ukrainian youth today. He continues writing songs, arranging music, and is involved with studio recording sessions. He works with the “Timeout” ballet groups performances. He is always ready and willing to work with creative artists to promote music, song and performance.

His mother, Maria Isak, was the first soloist of the well-known ensemble “Smerichka”, and his father , Ostap Savko was creator and director of the ensembles “Berkut” and “Olesya”.

MUSICAL CAREER

To commemorate the 10-year song career, Nazar Savko released a collection of songs “You Just LIten:. The album comines 13 lyrical compositions (there are also tow video clips included as bonus tracks). All songs, words and music, are solely his compositions and lyrics. In 2012 he participated in the the Voice of the Country-2 TV show “Young people sings songs of Ivasyuk” – a collection of songs by Volodymyr Ivasyuk, performed by Nazar Savko and his students. Nazar Savko’s compositions are in the repertoire of Natalka Karpa, Zoryana, Andriana, Mia and the “Glamor” ensemble.
