Хіропрактика

Хіропра́ктика (від дав.-гр. χείρ «рука») — псевдонаука[1], одна з форм альтернативної медицини[2], що здебільшого теоретично проводить діагностику і лікування розладів опорно-рухової системи, особливо хребта[2][3]. Її прихильники стверджують, що такі розлади впливають на здоров’я загалом через нервову систему[3]. Такі твердження не підтверджуються науковими доказами. Основними способами лікування в хіропрактиці є мануальна терапія, особливо спинні маніпуляції[en], та маніпуляції з суглобами та м'якими тканинами[en][4]. Основи хіропрактики суперечать офіційній медицині і базуються на псевдонаукових ідеях, таких, як «зміщення хребта» та «вроджений інтелект», що не мають наукової бази[5][6][7][8][9].

For chiropractors to describe themselves as PCP diagnosticians is to invite comparisons to other PC diagnosticians, i.e., family practitioners, pediatricians and internists.
