English: MRI (T2-image) of a spinal disc protrusion in the left lateral recess, at the L5 level compressing the left central nerve root. Compared to a disc extrusion the still existing contrast in the disc indicates that no fluid has been extracted and thus the general structure of the disc is still intact. This represents a pre-stage of a spinal disc herniation if the pressure on the disc is not lowered by improving the muscle structure of the back.
Deutsch: MRT (T2 Bild) einer links subartikulären Bandscheibenprotrusion LWK5/SWK1 mit Impression der Nervenwurzel S1 links sowie einer Spondylarthrose LWK4/LWK5 und LWK5/SWK1. Der noch existierende Kontrast in der betroffenen Bandscheibe lässt auf einen noch nicht stattgefundenen Prolaps (Vorfall) schliessen und deutet auf eine noch intakte Bandscheibenstruktur hin (kein Gallat ausgetreten). Diese Art der Erkrankung stellt eine Vorstufe eines Bandscheibenvorfalls dar und kann zu einem Prolaps führen wenn keine Maßnahmen zur Stärkung der Rückenmuskulatur bzw. zur Entlastung der Bandscheibe vorgenommen werden. |
