Робота над шосе ''Зайон — гора Кармель'' ({{lang-en|Zion — Mount Carmel Highway}}) почалась у 1927 році, щоб забезпечити надійне транспортне сполучення між [[Спрінгдейл (Юта)|Спрінгдейлом]] та східною частиною парку. Дорога відкрилась у 1930 році, і відвідування парку стрімко зросли. Найвідомішою особливістю шосе є тунель довжиною 1,8 км, який має шість великих вікон, прорізаних крізь пісковикову скелю.
