Evgeny Kukharenko - Candidate of Medical Sciences (M.D.), Merited Doctor of Ukraine (1980), Assosiate Professor, Chief Surgeon and Head of Surgical Department, Clinical Hospital "Theophany" of the State Administration of Ukraine. (Former Hospital "Theophania" of the Fourth Main Directorate of the Ministry of Health of the USSR (1975-1993).
Personality
As a doctor Kukharenko E. got undeniable authority. He skillfully performed the most difficult abdominal operations. Colleagues recognized him as the best diagnostic specialist of Kyiv in the 80-90s. Familiar with Mr. Evgeny personally, doctors and patients agreed that such a capable person deserves a senior position and recognition. However, Mr. Kukharenko himself refused such ideas, motivating it by the love of great surgery, work with his hands. And so he worked as the head of the department until the end of his life, which was cut off for 56 years due to a serious illness.

Biography
Kukharenko Evgenyi was born in the town of Shterivka, Luhansk region of the UkrainianSSR (Nowadays - Ukraine). He graduated Kharkiv State Medical Institute with a red diploma and received a specialization in general surgeon.
At his own request, he worked for 3 years in the outback of KazakhstanSSR as a Resident Surgeon, refusing to enter Ph.D.study of Kharkiv State Medical Institute.
Returning to his homeland, he worked at the Kharkov Research Institute of General and Emergency Surgery, headed by A.A. Shalimov. Kukharenko E. wrote and defended his dissertation in 2 years. He received his scientific degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences (M.D.) (1971).
Worked at the Department of Thoraco-Abdominal Surgery of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, received the title of Associate Professor.
In 1973 he was awarded the "Honorary Healthcare person" badge.
In 1975, EI Kukharenko, on the recommendation of the scientific adviser A.A. Shalimov and according to the order of the Ministry of Health of the USSR, was sent to Kiev by the head of the surgical department of the clinical hospital "Theofaniya" of the Fourth General Directorate of the Ministry of Health of the USSR. He also became Chief surgeon at Theophania Clinical Hospital.
In 1980 he was honored with the title "Merited Doctor of Ukraine".
In 1986 he was awarded the "Order of Friendship of the People".
In 1986 he was also awarded the Medal of Labor of the USSR.
He participated in the elimination of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster and was awarded the Liquidator Medal (1992).
Beliefs
He was interested in paleoanthropology, evolutionary biology. Wrote theoretical work "On the origin of man".
He was inclined to the ideas of humanism and cosmopolitanism.
Considered unacceptable for himself hunting for animals. He was against the possession and use of firearms.
