Девід Вейзхемпел (англ. David Weishampel, нар.16 листопада 1952) — американський палеонтолог з Центру функціональної анатомії та еволюції (англ. Center for Functional Anatomy and Evolution) Медичної школи при Університеті Джона Гопкінса[en] з 1985 року. 1975 здобув ступінь бакалавра в Університеті штату Огайо (The Ohio State University), 1978 — ступнінь магістра наук в Торонтському університеті, 1981 — ступінь Ph.D. з геології у Пенсильванському університеті. Його дослідження стосуються систематики динозаврів, пізньокрейдових динозаврів Європи, рослиноїдністі та механіки щелеп, кладистики і гетерохронії, історії еволюційної біології. Співавтор наукового опису таксонів: Ajkaceratops kozmai, Anikosaurus darwini, Iguanodon lakotaensis (тепер Dakotadon lakotaensis), Niobrarasaurus, Orodromeus makelai.
