Етимологія ред.
Вид названий на честь доктора Сінді Лагфорда Хінда (Sidney Langford Hinde, 1863—1930)
Поширення ред.
Ендемік Кенії. Відомий тільки з ізольованих популяцій на великих висотах на горі Кенія і вересових пусток в плато Кінангоп, гір Абердер.
