Interesting for Ukrainians

ред.

Pryvit, Lewkurdydyk! Here's a person that is interesting for uk.wiki.
He has articles on hr. wiki hr:Ljudevit Jurak and on en.wiki en:Ljudevit Jurak.
Jurak was Croatian pathologist, court medicine specialist, founder of human medicine pathologic anatomy and veterinarian anatomy in Croatia, the Dean of Faculty of Veterine in Zagreb. Known for making the obduction of Stjepan Radić (Croatian deputy killed by Serbian extremist in Yugoslav parliament in Belgrade).
For Ukrainians, this scientist is interesting because he was the member of international delegation of 11 experts that examined mass graves in Vinnycja in Western Ukraine from 12-15 July 1943. Delegation scientifically confirmed the cause (shot in the back of the head) and time (1938. godina) of death of 2000 Ukrainian peasants and workers (killed by Soviet regime). Jurak wrote the article about that in newspaper Hrvatski narod in 25 July 1943. After WWII, new Communist authorities have arrested him (NKVD's orders) on 15 May 1945. He refused to withdraw his signature from the report of that international delegation that concluded that massacre. Military court of Zagreb condemned him to death sentence on 9 June 1945 (reason "spreading of anti-Soviet propaganda"). Jurak was rehabilitated post mortem on 15 Sep 1991. More info here [1].
I believe that this honest guy deserves the article on Ukrainian wiki. Bye, Kubura 02:56, 9 жовтня 2011 (UTC)Відповісти
